Bahri demonstrates maritime excellence by winning two coveted honors at Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East 2021

In addition to the recognitions for safety and quality and education and training, the company’s CEO, Eng. Abdullah Aldubaikhi, won the ‘Personality of the year Award’

Dubai, UAE – 15 December 2021: Bahri, a global leader in logistics and transportation, demonstrated its industry-leading maritime capabilities by winning two top honors at the 18th edition of the prestigious Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa 2021. In addition to the ‘Education & Training Award’ and the ‘Safety & Quality Award’ won by Bahri and Bahri Ship Management respectively, Eng. Abdullah Aldubaikhi, CEO of Bahri was honored with the ‘Personality of the Year Award’ for his outstanding contributions to the shipping industry.

The awards were presented at a ceremony held on 13 December at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in conjunction with the Seatrade Maritime Middle East and UAE Maritime Week. Eng. Abdullah Aldubaikhi, the CEO of Bahri, received the awards in the presence of top government representatives, decision-makers, and professionals from across the maritime markets in the MENA region. Bahri was also shortlisted in the ‘Shipping Company of the Year' and ‘Regional Deal of the Year Award’ categories.

Commenting on the outstanding achievement, Eng. Abdullah Aldubaikhi said: “We are delighted to receive these prestigious recognitions from one of the leading maritime awards programs in the region. The ‘Safety & Quality Award’ recognized Bahri Ship Management’s outstanding safety and quality improvement initiatives that helped the company ensure the wellbeing of its employees and customers and the safety of its vessels and cargo. It also acknowledged the company’s efforts to maintain safe workplaces and raise awareness among its employees about COVID-19.

Bahri won the ‘Education & Training Award’ for its commitment to meeting the education and training needs of its workforce, in addition to implementing a structured development mechanism for all its employees, including vessel crew and officers. Bahri also partnered with reputed training platforms to enhance convenience and flexibility for its staff and extended 100% financial support to employees interested in pursuing higher education. The award also acknowledged Bahri’s wide-ranging efforts to invest in local talent to stimulate the growth of the maritime industry.
